This tribute to Sameera Hussain ,Mudhinge, M.Mulah is written for her beloved children and husband.
Introduction
The Hajj journey has a long and storied history full of tales of unwavering faith and extraordinary devotion to Allah SWT. Among these stories is that of Sameera Hussain (Mudhinge, M.Mulah), a remarkable woman who set out on the sacred trip but tragically passed away just after performing Hajj.
Sameera was one of the nicest and kindest women you probably would ever meet; she treated everyone with the highest respect and was a devoted and sincere Muslim who set a good example for her five daughters and instilled good values in them. She was a wonderful wife, who wholeheartedly supported her husband with trust, honesty, and faithful.
Devotion to Allah SWT and His Messenger SAW
Sameera’s life was defined by her solid commitment to Allah SWT. Self-restraint and perseverance were characteristics of Sameera’s life. She displayed strength and determination to practice our deen and the way prescribed by Allah SWT and His Messenger Prophet Muhammad SAW. Sameera’s commitment to the religion was reflected in her restraint, especially her fights against “Hawa Nafsu” or Lust.
Many decades ago, Sameera practiced wearing hijab at a time when just a handful of people on her island cared to follow Islamic virtues. This demonstrates her strong will and adamant principles to always obey Allah SWT, wherever possible and to the best of her ability.
Extra-ordinary Kindness
One of Sameera’s many qualities was her modesty and unmatched humility. She was open and friendly to everyone she encountered without ever being boastful. Sameera always believed that all people, regardless of their background, should be treated with the same degree of decency and respect.
Everyone she met was deeply moved by her great kindness, and her actions served as a strong reminder of the need of treating others with respect, kindness, and compassion.
Offspring
Allah SWT blessed 5 beautiful daughters in Sameera’s life, and Sameera’s dedication to and affection for her five children was unwavering and served as a huge inspiration to them all. She taught them the values of Islam, kindness, and ethics, and they grew up to be morally upright adults.
Sameera reared her daughters with unconditional love and care, becoming a source of strength and wisdom for them. Her selfless mothering certainly laid the groundwork for her daughters’ development into kind, moral women as they grew up.
I would like to highlight that all five of them are doing remarkably in their professions and living a life of good values their mother had instilled in them.
Love with no limits
Not only was Sameera an inspiration to all of the mothers, but she also showed solid faithfulness, undying passion, and unwavering loyalty to her husband. Sameera remained there for her husband through life’s highs and lows, expressing unquestionable love, trust, faithful, and compassion.
Her firm commitment to her spouse served as an illustration to all wives of the importance of being faithful, trusting, and respectful to their husbands. Sameera deeply loved her husband with every inch of her heart.
Sameera was full of boundless energy and affection for every member of her family.
Heartbreaking Death
The news that Sameera had passed away during her first and last Hajj caused everyone’s hearts to shatter into a million pieces when they heard it.
Her daughters were dealt a devastating blow when they were forced to deal with the loss of their beloved mother when they needed her most. Her husband lost his biggest strength in all his undertakings. Her elder sibling sister was left without a sister.
Sameera’s absence was keenly felt by everyone whose lives she had improved by the purity of her heart and the unwavering strength of her faith.
It is impossible to forget the legacy that Sameera left behind for those she loved, for her fellow pilgrims, and for the community she lived in.
Conclusion
How Allah rewards those of his slaves who follow his religion with the utmost sincerity in their actions! The manner in which Allah rewards people who can be trusted, who are kind and compassionate, who are loyal and faithful.
After performing all of the required rituals of the Hajj, Death came as a friend and Sameera was buried in Mecca, the most sacred and holiest land in the world, and most importantly in the state of a pilgrim. What a beautiful place and way to die. It is certainly the dying wish of all sincere Muslims.
How blessed my great-aunt Sameera was!
Those who had the good fortune to know Sameera was forever changed by her faith, humility, discipline, respect for others, and amazing love for her family. Sameera’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, encouraging others to follow in her footsteps of unshakeable faith, modesty, and kindness to their own families and communities.
May Allah bless my Great-Aunt Sameera with the highest ranks in Jannah. Ameen.
